Mobium research

Mobium and POSSIBLE combine strategy and leadership with excellence in research and insights.

Founded in 2005 by Nick Bez and Andrew Baker, Mobium creates and publishes insights into the interplay between the concern Australians feel for the world in which they live, and how this influences what they buy and who they trust. We apply these insights to help our corporate, government and NGO clients to engage consumers on health, climate and sustainability products, services and programs.

It is now commonly accepted that the quality of the natural world is in decline and there is an expectation that businesses and governments take action to move from extraction to regeneration.

However, making products that are better for the world, attractive to consumers, and profitable can be challenging. That is why we undertake in-depth research to understand how best to engage Australian consumers in this journey. It is about building the consumer-led business case for a more enlightened and sustainable way of doing business, and this has been Mobium’s mission since 2005.

Mobium is a member of The Research Society, the professional association for the market research and insights industry in Australia.

POSSIBLE and Mobium, with technical and subject matter input from climate change advisory and solutions firm Pollination, asked 2,035 Australians what they thought about nature, what they expected governments and businesses to do to protect it, and how they would like to have information communicated to them about it.

POSSIBLE Mobium is led by co-founder Nick Bez, an expert in consumer and market research.

With over 30 years' commercial experience in the US, China and Australia, including 8 years in senior marketing roles at one of Australia's largest retailers, he has advised major corporations, government agencies, NGO's and start-ups and guest presented at numerous industry forums, universities and conferences.

Nick has deep specialist knowledge of Australian consumer attitudes and purchasing patterns in the health and sustainability sectors and is co-author of Mobium's Living LOHAS report series.
